Inherent Goodness

When we see a baby, there is no question about his/her innocence/goodness.

It’s inherent. We are born with it.

I maintain we all have it and don’t ever lose it.

However, most all of us get disconnected from it as we learn to conform in order to be safe at a time when we are powerless and dependent on others for survival.

Still there. Waiting patiently for our return and reconnection. Some, perhaps many, will never return. Never reconnect. Having been dehumanized, follow that path and dehumanize others. Seeking justice. Revenge.

However, for those who do reconnect and embrace inherent goodness, enduring happiness with one’s self awaits.

It’s not where I tell right from wrong. It’s where I know good vs bad.
